1. The Johor Chinese Entrepreneur Award is a prestigious award that recognizes the achievements and leadership of outstanding Chinese entrepreneurs who excel in their respective business field. This activity is held in conjunction with our country 50 years independence celebration.
2. The Johor Chinese Entrepreneur Award is categorized into 5 awards:
   1. Founder Entrepreneur
   2. Corporate Management Entrepreneur
   3. Technology Entrepreneur
   4. Export Entrepreneur
   5. Woman Entrepreneur
3. The Johor Chinese Entrepreneur Award is organized by Johor Bahru Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JBCCCI), endorsed by Johor State International Trade & Industry, Energy, Water and Communication Committee and supported by Ernst & Young and sponsored by HSBC Malaysia berhad.

1. Must be of Chinese descent and not over 40 years, and a citizen or permanent resident of Malaysia.
2. Must be of Chinese descent and below 50 years, a citizen or permanent resident of Malaysia.
3. Need to be an owner or executive director primarily responsible for the recent performance of the business for at least 3 financial years.
4. Need to be incorporated under the Companies Act, 1965, and have your registered address or core business operations located in Johor State.
5. Need to have an annual sales turnover exceeding RM2 million in the last financial year. Can either be a parent company or a subsidiary. However, if the parent company participates, all of its subsidiaries will not be eligible to participate. Need to be homegrown with at least 50% equity held by Malaysian Chinese.

1. Management philosophy and performance of the core business operations.
2. Operating profit before tax and sales turnover over the last three financial years, namely for the year 2004, 2005 and 2006.
3. Social responsibility and commitment.
4. Innovations and market strategies (if applicable)
5. Information technology usage (if applicable)
6. Human resource management (if applicable)

1. Be presented with the Johor Chinese Entrepreneur Award TROPHY and CERTIFICATE at the award presentation ceremony by the Johor State International Trade & Industry, Energy, Water and Communication Committee and Johor Bahru Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry
2. The winner of all the Entrepreneur Award will be recommended to attend the upcoming World Chinese Entrepreneurs Convention. The secretariat of JBCCCI will give assistance with all the necessary registration procedures.

1. Submit a completed Johor Chinese Entrepreneur Award nomination form endorsed by any local chamber, trade association or constitute chamber, together with relevant supporting documents and information.
2. Attach together with the nomination form the following documents:
   1. Two passport size photo of the nominee
   2. Company profile
   3. Supporting documents including:
      • Background of Nominee
        Description of nominee’s entrepreneurial background, including skills, experience, major accomplishments and management philosophy;
      • Future Plan of the Nominee’s Business
        Description of nominee’s vision for the business. Provide information about the business's current stage of development, the plans for future growth and how the nominee will achieve his/her vision;
      • Innovation in business model, production process or products/services and details of any patents;
      • Technology Used;
      • R & D activities and investments in R&D;
      • Investment in human resource training;
      • Contribution towards society including participation in various social activities; and
      • Last three years audited financial statements
3. All information and documents provided by the nominee will be kept in strict confidence.
